Italian simple prepositions are words that connect nouns, pronouns, and phrases to other words. They are invariable:
- di (from / of)
- a (at / in / to)
- da (from / to)
- in (in / at)
- con (with)
- su (on)
- per (for)
- tra / fra (between / in)

| DA – A (from – to) | Preposition DA-A are used to indicate movement from a place to another. (From – to)

The preposition A is used to express time with the following singular nouns

For all the other hours we use the compound preposition ALLE Esempio:
