Natječaj za posao

Today you will start working on preparing yourself for a dialogue (role-play) with your instructor that will happen during the next class session. You will be a student who is applying for a job and your instructor will play the role of a person who is hiring.
1️⃣ Introduction
Read carefully all four job vacancies that we covered in the last two class sessions (see below). Choose which one is the most suitable for you, based on your interests, education, and past work experience. If you do not have any work experience, that’s fine. You will still be able to complete the task… Remember, our student Sandra doesn’t have any work experience but she still applied for a job.
❓ Next steps:
- When you know which job you want to apply for, create your Curriculum Vitae (instructions below). Tailor your CV so it fits the profile of a job you are applying for.
- When you have your CV ready, send an email in a formal style, say why are you sending an email, and what is included in your email.
2️⃣ Create your CV
You will create your CV through the European Union web portal. When you open the website, click on Europass CV and it will open the website where you will be able to start building your CV. Your final product will look similar (if not the same) as the PDF you used to learn more about Ines and her CV.
For more guidelines, use the following page: How to create your CV. When you are done (i.e., when you have your PDF ready), send it to your instructor – see Step #3.
3️⃣ Send an email
Now that you have your CV ready, send an email and apply for a job. Use Ines’ email and the one you wrote about Sandra as guidelines on how to write a proper email for a job application. You should send your email to your instructor as they are playing the role of a person who will be interviewing you for a job.
