Američki lanci brze hrane u Hrvatskoj. Što Hrvati jedu? Before we start talking more about traditional food in Croatia, let’s investigate the presence of well-known US food chains in Croatia. Investigate the links (menus).

Task
In each fast food chain, find at least two items and express your opinion on whether the food in these places is cheaper or more expensive in Croatia than in the US. Screenshot the image of each item and copy/paste them next to your answers. An example is given for you: Sendvič Zinger je skuplji u Hrvatskoj nego u SAD-u.
When done with the first part of the assignment, answer the following questions.

Personal opinion
❓ Questions to answer:
- Why do you think these fast food chains are successful in spreading around the world?
- Subway was also present in Croatia. But it turns out it didn’t survive the market competition and is closing its doors now (article about Subway). Why was Subway not successful on the Croatian market, while the others are very popular?
8.1.2 Zadatak 2: Razgovor
👥 Work with a classmate. Create a dialogue in which you invite each other to go for coffee and to grab something sweet (kava i nešto slatko). Where would you go? What will you order, why? At what time will you go? Use local sources for your dialogue.
