An email from the university lands in everyone’s inbox and instantly becomes the main topic of the day. A weekend trip across Croatia, several cities on the list, and a price that’s hard to resist. But the spots are limited, and decisions have to be made quickly. Matija calls Ines to compare notes: Who’s already signed up? What exactly does the brochure say? And how fast do they need to reply? What starts as a simple message soon turns into excitement and a race against the clock to get on the list in time.

👥 Work with your classmate. Divide the assignment equally between the two of you. When you have things ready, you will present your findings to the rest of the class. Research online the following places. What can we see and visit in each city? List at least two places for each city.

The Center for Croatian Studies Abroad (Centar za hrvatske studije u svijetu) where James is learning Croatian, is organizing a weekend trip for all of their international students. All local students who are helping international students assimilate upon their arrival, and who participate in extracurricular activities, also received an invitation to join. Read the email that James and his friends received from school.

| Matija: | Da, da. |
| Ines: | Jesam. Pročitala sam ga. |
| Matija: | Planiraš li ići? |
| Ines: | Da! Naravno da želim ići. Stvarno je jeftino. A ti? Ideš li? |
| Matija: | Da, idem. |
| Ines: | Znaš li u koliko sati je polazak? Nije pisalo u e-mailu. |
| Matija: | Mislim da je polazak u petak u 7:00. Piše u brošuri. Jesi li otvorila PDF dokument? |
| Ines: | Ne, nisam pogledala brošuru. A kada je povratak? |
| Matija: | Povratak je u nedjelju u podne. Mislim da će putovanje natrag trajati barem deset sati. Imamo pauzu za ručak i na povratku ćemo također kratko stati u Paklenicu. Bit će odlično! Pozvani su i svi međunarodni studenti. James i Marko su već odgovorili na e-mail. |
| Ines: | Jedva čekam. A ide li Luka? |
| Matija: | Da, on je odmah odgovorio na e-mail. Znaš njega. Idem sad i ja odgovoriti na e-mail. Čujemo se kasnije. |
| Ines: | Važi! Čujemo se. |

Look at the brochure that the school sent out and talk with another classmate to learn more about the school trip to Istria. You should find information on the following trip details in the brochure.
7.3.2 Zadatak 4: Odgovor na e-mail
Read the following email that James sent to his university and complete the task below.
Based on brochure information, reply to James’ email. Be sure to follow the proper, formal structure of an email as shown in the previous two examples. Express that you are glad that James is going. Answer his question based on the information you already collected in previous tasks. Finish your email with an appropriate closing.
