This lesson is a bit different! You’ll be working independently today! First, think about your own shopping habits and what kind of spaces you like to live in. Do you enjoy decorating? Are you more minimalist or detail-oriented?
Then, join Laura as she plans a weekend trip to IKEA with Sandra. She’s ready to decorate her new room in Zagreb before her roommate arrives, but she needs your help! You’ll explore the IKEA website, check out different rooms and furniture categories, and collect ideas for Laura’s bedroom. Use your shopping bag to make a list of everything you think she should buy! When you’re done, show us your design: record a short video presentation explaining what you chose, how much it costs, and how you’d arrange it in Laura’s room. Be creative and have fun — today, you’re the designer! 🎨🪑🪴

Furniture: Answer the following questions about your preferences, where you shop for furniture, and what you think about it.

IKEA – a place to shop
Before you start helping Laura decorate her room, let’s investigate the IKEA website. Browse through the website and investigate how would you answer the following questions?
Look at the section prostorije and write at least 5 items that are a must have in each room.

- dnevna soba
- kuhinja
- vanjski namještaj
- blagovaonica
- kupaonica
What items can you find under spavaća soba? Browse at least several sections in spavaća soba so you can list items that are relevant for you (i.e., something that you would potentially buy for your bedroom).

4.1.3 Zadatak 3: Što želiš kupiti?
Project task: Check the section proizvodi. Look again at the picture of Laura’s bedroom and help her find stuff that you think she needs. Use IKEA Proizvodi section in order to decorate the room. Put everything that you want to buy in your košarica (shopping bag). When you have everything, list all the items you want to buy and how much each item costs. Finally, take a picture of your shopping cart.
Now that you have completed the project, upload the video presentation of your work. You will need to show us your shopping bag list (košarica). Tell us what you want to buy and where you would place all the things in the bedroom. Preferably, copy-past images of things you want to buy into Laura’s bedroom so other students can get the visual representation of your idea. Submit your video presentation online.
