After all the stories about Croatian families, it’s time to turn the spotlight to Laura and her family back in the US. Who looks like who? Who’s the artist and who’s the sport enthusiast? As we wrap up our family talks, we’ll also start to learn more about you – your interests, your hobbies, and how you like to spend your free time. Ready to share a little bit more about yourself?

3.1.7 Zadatak 5: Naši studenti

Look at the picture of our students. Pick one person and describe him/her to your classmate. What does the person look like? Do not mention the name of the person you decide to describe. When done, switch roles. Each of you needs to describe at least two of our students. Avoid any visual feature that will reveal who you are talking about. For example, our student James has a very distinct visual feature – his blue hair. Mentioning this would immediately reveal that we are talking about him.

Look at our students from Zagreb and Split and write what their interests are. Finish the sentence by using the most appropriate word from the word-bank below in order to finish the sentence, and to express the meaning of the picture. Two words from the word-bank are not going to be used.

Now, let’s talk about your main interest. You will see a set of images. Your task is to answer the questions about your interests. For example, if you see an image of baseball ⚾ and the question reads Zanima li te…?, you need to provide a full sentence saying whether you are interested in baseball or not. Do not use any punctuation at the end. Possible answers are:
