Everyone has a different story, and as new details come up, we start to see how family life and living spaces can be closely connected. 🗣️ Razgovor

In-class conversation

🧑‍🏫 This section is intended for in-class discussion. If you’re not participating in the class, take a moment to reflect on the questions and think about how you would respond if someone asked you these questions in a real conversation.

3.1.5 Zadatak 6: Rodbinske veze

Rad u paru. Each of you will open a different tab: Student A: Obiteljsko stablo or Student B: Obiteljsko stablo. In the tab you open, you’ll see two family trees. One is almost empty – that’s the one you need to complete. The other one is fully filled out – that’s the one your classmate needs to complete. Talk to your partner and ask about people’s names to complete your tree. When you’re both done – switch roles and help your partner do the same! Here is an example for you.

♂️ Dragan

  • Kako se zove Draganov [sin]? / Kako se zove Draganova [sestra]?

♀️ Sandra

  • Kako se zove Sandrin [brat]? / Kako se zove Sandrina [sestra]?

3.1.5 Zadatak 7: Prijateljeva obitelj

Your classmate will give you his/her family tree that we already worked on. Present his/her family to another classmate. For the family members related by bloodline, use the form – he/she has…— for other members, use the form by expressing to whom they are married. Example:

  •  [Marko] ima tetu, ona se zove Lidija. Lidijin muž se zove Darko.

Listen carefully while your classmates present a family tree from your mutual friend/classmate. You will need to answer the questions your instructor asks.

  • Kako se zove […] tata / mama?
  • Kako se zove […] brat / sestra?
  • Kako se zove […] ujak / ujna?
  • Kako se zove […] stric / strina?
  • Kako se zove […] teta / tetak?
  • Kako se zove […] bratić / sestrična?

3.1.5 Zadatak 8: Stambeno pitanje

Rad u paru: Talk with one of your classmates and present your family and living situation. Where do you, your parents, grandparents, brother, or sister live (u gradu, na selu, u kući, u stanu)? Say something about them (characteristics, what they do in their free time, etc.). Both texts and related questions will help you formulate your sentences.

➕ Optional: Before you start talking about your family, use Google maps to search for your address* (house/apartment) online. Use it as a visual aid that will help your classmate get a better idea of where you live.

❗ You do not have to share your real home address if you do not want to. It can be an imaginary place.
