2.3.4 Zadatak 1: Planovi za NG

💻 Video recording: Meet with one of your classmates and discuss your usual activities/trips that you do at New Year’s. Ask them where they usually go, what they do, and if they already have plans for this year. Give your opinion on their activities (Ja mislim da je to…). Today’s dialogue will help you formulate the sentences.

2.3.4 Zadatak 2: Tekst poruke

1️⃣  Texting in Croatia: (1) Based on the text messages from today’s lesson, what do you think – do they show a formal or informal type of communication? Why do you think this? Give at least two examples to justify your answer/opinion. (2) Look at the text messages again. Do our characters use punctuation? How would you interpret it? Is this any different from how you text your friends? Answer in English.

Answer in Croatian: (1) How would you (potentially) greet your friend in a text message? (2) How would you end a text conversation?

2️⃣  Send a classmate a text message and tell them what you’re doing (example: you are in the library reading, or at home doing your homework). Develop and carry on text communication like you saw in today’s lesson between our students in Croatia (Matija and James, Laura and Mario). Make sure the texts are classroom appropriate. Each of you has to initiate a conversation with one of your classmates. Thus, you might find that you will: (a) initiate a conversation, and (b) reply to a received text message.
