Cjelina 2: Slobodno vrijeme

✏️ 2 | 1 | Lekcija 3: Što posjetiti? – Domaći

Što smo naučili?

📝  Welcome to today’s homework! This is your chance to review what we covered in class and practice a little more. If anything feels tricky, make a note of it and bring your questions to our next session. Ready? Let’s get started!

2.1.3 Zadatak 1: Kako se kaže?

Answer in Croatian based on the dialogues from our class session:

  • How would you say that a place is very nice and tidy?
  • How would you agree with someone (i.e., say that they are right)?
  • How would you express your desire to visit a place one day?
  • How would you express your opinion about people from a certain country?
  • How would you express your excitement about some future activity?
  • How would you invite someone for coffee?

2.1.3 Zadatak 2: Usporedba

Video recording: Arrange a meeting with one of your classmates. Record yourselves on video talking to each other about your city. Be sure to mention the main attractions that one could visit in your city. In your discussion, try to describe each of the attractions that you mention. Finally, compare your city with one of the Croatian cities that we have discussed so far. How are they similar/different?

For example, when comparing the cities, you might say:

  • Austin je kao i Split. Ima […]
  • Moj grad ima […], ali Split nema […]

At the very end of your dialogue, discuss with your classmate in English the following topic: What are the main differences between the cities in the U.S. vs Croatia? What do you think, what can these differences be attributed to?
