✏️ 2 | 1 | Lekcija 2: Atrakcije – Domaći

Što smo naučili?

📝  Welcome to today’s homework! This is your chance to review what we covered in class and practice a little more. If anything feels tricky, make a note of it and bring your questions to our next session. Ready? Let’s get started!

2.1.2 Zadatak 1: Kako se kaže?

In today’s lesson we encountered some new phrases that might be useful in your everyday conversation.

❓ Pitanja:

  • How did Mario greet Laura? What is the word that he used?
  • How did Luka greet James? What is the word that he used?
Both of these greetings mean the same thing, but they are regionally marked. The first one is associated with the northern/continental part of Croatia. The second is more appropriate to use in the southern/coastal part of Croatia.

❓ Pitanja:

  • What would be the English equivalent?
  • Looking back at the dialogue between James, Luka, and Ines. How would you express your excitement about something?
  • How would you say to someone that you are making plans for the weekend and that you are investigating what to visit?
  • How would you say to someone to take it easy and not to rush?

2.1.2 Zadatak 2: Što posjetiti?

1️⃣ Writing: Pick one city in Croatia, but it cannot be Zagreb or Split. Do a Google (image) search to find out more about the chosen city. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation (or have websites open) and show other students what one can see/find there. Give your opinion about each thing/place. Before you present your work, write a paragraph saying what we can see in the city and include, according to your opinion, what things/places look like using adjectives to describe them.

2️⃣ Video recording: After you post your video presentation online, your classmates will watch it and will make a comment on your presentation and say what they think about the city. Example sentence: Moraš posjetiti Zagreb. To je velik i lijep grad.
