Unreal Conditional Clauses

Look at the following chart to understand how to create unreal (impossible) conditional clauses.

da + past tense
+ present conditional
Da sam imao para na računu, kupio bih torbu.
Da sam imala para na računu, kupila bih torbu.

These clauses refer to conditions that are contrary to fact, meaning they describe situations that did not happen or cannot happen because they are based on a different past.
