Let’s explore some of the most popular places in Croatia where people can volunteer. This will also help you learn useful vocabulary that you can use when talking about your own interests and experiences.

Complete the sentence with the correct volunteering place. There is more than one option for this task. This is your personal opinion. However, at times, the given preposition in the sentence might limit your possible response and you will need to pick a specific option from the list below.

  • Caritas, Crveni križ, centar za ženska prava, knjižnica, telefon za pomoć ljudima, azil za životinje, zoološki vrt

Complete the sentences by filling in the missing word. Use one of the following:

Most people have a love–hate relationship with household chores. Sometimes they feel boring, but they are part of everyday life. Imagine you’re in Croatia on a study abroad program, sharing an apartment with another student. You’ll quickly realize that it’s important to talk about chores and divide them fairly. 🧑‍🍳 Who will cook? 🗑️ Who will take out the trash? 🧽 Who has to clean the bathroom? To get ready for those conversations, let’s practice the words for common household chores. Use the flip cards to learn the vocabulary, you’ll need it when you negotiate who does what at home!
