In this lesson, you’ll explore jobs of the past, present, and future and think about how technology — especially artificial intelligence — is transforming the world of work. You’ll learn and practice vocabulary related to professions, work stability, motivation, and future possibilities, and discuss which careers might disappear or change. You’ll also practice expressing hypothetical situations to imagine your own future job choices and reflect on how work and life could look in the years ahead.
Pre-class assignment
In this first part of the lesson, you’ll listen to a dialogue related to the topic we’ll cover in class. Your goal is to get familiar with new vocabulary and useful phrases. Listen to the dialogue as many times as you need and complete the tasks below. This will help you:

| Šimun | Bio bi slavan, ne bi znao za nas… slava bi ti udrila u glavu! |
| Santiago | Ne budali! Nisam ti ja za to… Vrlo brzo sam shvatio da taj stil života nije za mene. |
| Šimun | Ali recimo da si se nastavio baviti time, što misliš kako bi ti život izgledao? |
| Santiago | Da sam se nastavio baviti glumom, ne bih se preselio u Hrvatsku. To je sigurno. Možda ne bih ni upoznao sve vas ovdje. Život mi ne bi bio miran kao sad. |
| Šimun | Istina. |
| Santiago | A jesi li se ti ikada pitao što bi bilo da si ostao u Zagrebu i dobio posao nakon fakulteta? |
| Šimun | Iskreno, ne mogu to ni zamisliti. Na fakultetu sam shvatio da se želim vratiti kući. Ali recimo da sam dobio posao, možda bih radio koju godinu u Zagrebu, ali bih se sigurno u jednom trenutku vratio ovdje. |
| Santiago | Nisi ni tražio posao nakon što si diplomirao? |
| Šimun | Na zadnjoj godini studija sam pokušao naći neki posao, ali nisam imao sreće. Nakon par mjeseci sam odustao i c3im sam diplomirao vratio sam se kući. |
| Santiago | Sve se događa s razlogom… Sve ima svoje zašto. |
