Here is an overview of how to use it in Croatian. The examples only show masculine and feminine gender.

TREBATI (Present Conditional) + infinitive of another verb

I should read this book.

  • Trebao bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (masculine)
  • Trebala bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (feminine)

ŽELJETI (Present Conditional) + infinitive of another verb

I would like to read this book.

  • Želio bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (masculine)
  • Željela bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (feminine)

MOĆI (Present Conditional) + infinitive of another verb

I could read this book.

  • Mogao bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (masculine)
  • Mogla bih pročitati ovu knjigu. (feminine)
