7.2 Let’s Practice! – Куда́ иду́т лю́ди?

Watch the following video, in which I talk about people going places in a little city you’ve seen before. Then, try this: make your own little city and describe where people are going. Follow steps 1 – 5 below.

1. Watch the video. Use it as a review of this topic and as an example of what to do below.
2. Create your own town. Feel free to be creative and make it different from mine!
3. Make sure you have at least 10 places, labeled in Russian. In fact, choose at least two places I did not use in my own town.
4. Label each place with a different person’s name in Russian.
5. Next, create language in Russian in which you ‘move’ each person to a new place. Show this by drawing / inserting an arrow from each person in their original place to their new destination place.
6. Describe your picture by answering these two questions about all your people in Russian: Где бы́ли лю́ди? Куда́ иду́т лю́ди сейча́с? In other words, write out a description of where the people originally were and where they are going now. Pay attention to the verbs and cases needed!
