3.2 Language and Speech: Хо́бби – Что вы лю́бите де́лать?

Consider the following questions – all VERY similar to each other in meaning:

The verb ‘люби́ть‘ technically means ‘love’. In Russian it also means ‘like’. You can use it to talk about things you simply ‘like’.

Например, when talking about your хо́бби ‘hobbies’ you can use любить.

Now consider the questions:

About myself, I can say the following, again just limiting myself to the vocabulary and grammar we’ve learned. NO, I can’t say everything I want to say, but I can express a LOT here, using words, like гулять (to stroll, walk around, go out), отдыхать (to rest, relax, hang out), работать (to work), учиться (to be a student), говорить (speak), читать (to read), and maybe a few others:
