Уро́к 7 – Grammar: Come here or COME HITHER

The notion of куда́? vs. где? is NOT unique to Russian at all. In fact, older versions of English used it and we still see remnants of it here and there. Have you heard anyone say, “Come hither!” Yes? It’s not just an old way of saying ‘here’. It’s the way English expressed the notion of ‘to here’ or ‘herewards’. Russian still uses these distinctions, but it’s cool to know (IMO) that English used to have it:
