This is a good time to learn a few classroom survival phrases.
Watch the following video for some tips on what to say in class. You may find yourself using these phrases A LOT. After the video, you will see all phrases and their meaning written out for you.

| Я не понима́ю по-русски. | I don’t understand Russian. |
| Я не по́нял. // Я не поняла́. | I don’t understand (something someone said). |
| У меня́ (есть) вопро́с. | I have a question. |
| Мо́жно спроси́ть? | May I ask (something)? |
| Что зна́чит … ? | What does … mean? (I didn’t actually say this one but it’s extremely useful.) |
| Повтори́те, пожа́луйста. | Repeat (that), please. |
| Ещё раз? | Once more? / Come again? / What’s that? |
| Как сказа́ть по-ру́сски … ? | How do you say … in Russian? |
| Помоги́те мне, пожа́луйста. | Help me, please. |
| Пра́вильно. | (That’s) correct / right. |
| Непра́вильно. | (That’s) not correct / right. |
