8.7 Grammar: Мы с кем?

Люби́мая Грамма́тика

You and I

In Russian, unlike in English, you don’t typically say “You and I ….”, or for that matter, “He and his kids…” or “You and your friends…”. All I mean by this is that when you conjoin two subjects, like I’ve given in these examples, in Russian you need to make sure any pronoun you use is a plural pronoun. And, it turns out, you need the instrumental case for this. Watch the following video to see what I mean.
