I think that … (notice the use of the COMMA in Russian)
The only difference between English and Russian is that in Russian you HAVE to “что”, whereas in English it can be omitted. Compare the following sentences.
Я ду́маю, что ру́сский язы́к – са́мый краси́вый язы́к в ми́ре.
I think (that) Russian is the most beautiful language in the world.
Of course, this works with other subjects, too:
Оле́г ду́мает, что Поли́на о́чень хоро́ший друг.
Oleg thinks (that) Polina is a very good friend.
Америка́нские студе́нты ду́мают, что в Росси́и о́чень холо́днo зимо́й.
American students think (that) it is very cold in Russia in the winter.
Just remember the comma: “я ду́маю, что”. As shown in the examples, a comma always comes before “что”. Всегда́!
