2.1 Vocab: Numbers 0 – 10
It is always satisfying to learn how to count in another language. Learning this in Russian is no exception. We will start at the beginning – with nothing – so to speak, and build from there.
Watch this to learn about numbers 0 – 10. It’s EXTREMELY cute.
Note: We are ONLY learning numbers themselves right now. We can use them to give our phone numbers but we are NOT GOING TO QUANTIFY things yet. We aren’t learning to say ‘2 apples’ or ‘5 houses’ just yet.
Счастли́вая Пра́ктика! (Happy Practice)
Below are some drills to practice learning the numbers. Return to this page as often as needed until you feel comfortable reading and recalling all of these on your own.
For this first exercise, choose the word that corresponds to the number shown.
Next, drag and drop the words to their corresponding numeric symbol.
Test yourself. Can you recall the Russian word for each number shown? (число means ‘number’)
Listen for which number is wrong. As you listen to each string of numbers, read along with the numbers written out. One of the written numbers will disagree with what is read aloud. Which number from the written string is wrong?
